THE COMBO EVENT

  • The Objective:
    1. Knock down as many plates in the given time limit as possible.
  • The Equipment:
    1. Eye and ear protection is mandatory.
    2. One 22 rimfire rifle and 3 ten round magizines, two 22 rimfire pistols
      with 2 ten round magizines each or one 22 rifle with 5 ten round mags and
      one 22 pistol with 5 ten round mags for 2 man teams.
    3. The targets are aperture plates meaning the team members must shoot
      through the 3,4, and 2 inch circles to knock down the plate behind.
  • The Procedure:
    1. The rifle shooter may load the 3 or 5 magizines with only ten rounds each.
    2. The pistol shooters may only load the 2 or 5 mags with 10 rounds each.
    3. Spare rounds may be loaded for the rifle shooter and pistol shooter
      by the other pistol shooter only after the original 20 or 50 rounds have been fired.
    4. The rifle and pistols will be placed on the table in front of each team member and may
      not be handled until the range officer gives the command to "fire".
    5. All shooting must be done in the standing offhand position.
    6. At the range officers command of "fire" each team member may pick up their
      firearms, load them and start knocking down plates.
    7. Time limits run from 1min. 30 sec. to 2 min. depending on the team's class
      and a score of 100 points is possible if all plates are downed.
